Latham FD is a vol fire company, one of the finest in America. I believe they have 2 paid drivers. Fear not from flames, they are there almost instantly. I was a Ltd volunteer for 7 plus years and I would have no other if I needed assistance. They fight barn, house, strip malls, office buildings, multi story rest homes, etc and respond to vehicle accidents in town & I87 & mutual aid!
They deleted the siren at night . Now it's time to shut down the nuisance all together. How many times during the day does it go off for nothing. It is a relic that just makes a lot of noise. Pagers and cell phones are for today. Save our ears and our peace and quiet.
